A New Romance by E J Anderson

It was difficult for David Randall to return home after WWI. Now that he has, he is afraid to learn more about the girl he had left behind. All he knows is that her mother was murdered, and he is avoiding visiting her.

Then he notices a woman he finds intriguing and wants to know who she is. As often as he tries, though, he is unable to meet her. One evening he goes to the silent picture show and sees her in the crowd. Now is his chance to see if this woman will take his mind off the “girl of his dreams.” But despite sitting next to woman, she eludes him after the movie. Distressed, he wonders if he will ever be able to talk to this Elusive Lady.

Jane Cole wishes she could talk to Dave. After all, they were friends when she was a child. Her best friend was Dave’s little sister Karen, and her brother Jim was Dave’s best friend. So much happened in her past, though, Jane couldn’t bring herself to talk to Dave. Besides, members of Dave’s family warned her to stay away from him. That’s an easy promise to keep since she doesn’t want to see the expression of hatred in his eyes that she saw in the rest of the townfolks’ eyes. She can’t bear to see it.

But Jane is surprised to see Dave at her front door to say happy birthday. It is only then he realizes she is the Elusive Lady. Unfortunately, their meeting leads to a powerful admission from Jane, which explains why Dave didn’t recognize her. Their talk that evening also drives Dave’s desire to help her.

Despite her reluctance, she and Dave set out on a journey to find the person who murdered her mother. Along the way, the love from their past is rekindled, but first they must catch the killer before he kills again.

Portrait of Obsession, Chaps. 3 & 4

In this installment of Portrait of Obsession, Blythe and Ethan get to know each other a little better. Ethan explains that Naomi is his wife, and Blythe tells him she boarded the boat because of a letter she found from a man named Francois to her father. This has piqued her curiosity, and she began her trip to America on a journey to find Francois.

When Ethan learns that Blythe must earn money once she reaches Chicago, which could take a long time, he hatches a scheme for him to teach her how to play poker. Blythe is skeptical at first because Ethan has kissed her again. This time, though, she remembers what Ethan’s “wife” Naomi has told her – that she’s pregnant. But she’s unable to resist and accepts his offer so she can hopefully find her long-lost grandfather sooner.

Danger in Paradise, Chaps. 9 & 10

Bird of Paradise

Now that my life has settled down for the foreseeable future, I am trying to get two chapters of Danger in Paradise out every week while I work on editing an historical romance. I might change my mind, though, and put chapters on the historical online here and download the entire book of Danger in Paradise to this site.

This week’s chapters are 9 & 10. I hope you enjoy them.

Danger in Paradise, Chaps. 7 & 8

Huachuca Mountains, Hereford, AZ

It’s been a long time since I’ve been on here. I’ve been terribly busy with ghostwriting, so I haven’t had enough time for my own work. Now I’ve retired from ghostwriting and am getting back to my novels. Things have changed on this site, and I’ll need to get used to them. Please bear with me while I do.

To catch up on Danger in Paradise, please scroll down to refresh your memory.

Hopefully, Danger in Paradise will be finished by the end of January. While I finish it, feel free to read the books posted to download here, such as my historical romance, Sweet Liberty, or go to Amazon Kindle books and find Twin Creek Claim, a romantic intrigue. Amazon books can be purchased or read with Kindle Unlimited.
