Sample Chapter One, Danger in Paradise

Whoa! I didn’t realize how long it’s been since I last posted. I’ve been so busy the time has slipped away. I have, however, decided which book I’m going to publish online next.

The book I’m working on is entitled Danger in Paradise, and it centers on Jessie Nelson, an intelligence specialist for Wheeler Air Force Base in Honolulu, Hawaii. Nick Ramsdale, her former boyfriend comes back into her life. While researching a spy novel he’s writing, Nick comes across suspicious information on Jessie’s fiance, Todd Hardy. Determined to reunite with Jessie, while keeping his suspicions to himself, Nick does his best to win Jessie’s heart.

Chapter 1 of Danger in Paradise starts here. Continue reading

Sweet Liberty Is Now Online

I have finally uploaded my historical romance, Sweet Liberty, to my site. You can find the PDF file of Sweet Liberty above. Just click Romance and Historical.

Again, this will be a free download until I figure out how to set up a payment plan. When it actually goes on sale, I will blog that it has, and the price will be a minimal $1.50. As of now, I don’t know if there will be sales tax. I’m hoping not.

Now, to start on a new book, maybe even a serial story for Amazon.

Following is a blurb of Sweet Liberty:

Sweet Liberty, Chapters 13 & 14

Here are another two chapters (13 and 14) of Sweet Liberty. This historical romance is finished now, and I will be working on putting it online in full, this includes designing the best cover I can.

After that, I will start editing another of my unpublished books and will post sample chapters of that as I go along. I haven’t decided, yet, if it will be another historical or an intrigue instead. I need to keep my brain from getting staid on one genre.

I hope you enjoy what I’ve posted this time. For those who prefer knowing, I give it a PG-17 rating.

Sweet Liberty, Chapter 12

What an interesting sunset rain and cloud formation, but it has nothing to do with the sample chapter of Sweet Liberty that I’m posting today. I would say that this chapter is at least a PG-13 rating, just so people know.

Now I need to get back to work on editing. I tell you, I just don’t take time for “me things” anymore. I really need to focus on that, because I’m a notorious “yes” person.

Today is Chapter 12 of Sweet Liberty. I hope you enjoy it.

Sweet Liberty, Chapters 10 & 11

Belated Happy Independence Day.

Now that my life has settled down, I’m looking forward to working on my own book, Sweet Liberty. I’m taking an indefinite sabbatical from ghostwriting just so I can work on my own projects. The first one is finishing Sweet Liberty and trying to get it to publish on my own website. Since I wasn’t able to get A Baby for New Year’s to work, it might take me a while. I’m determined, though.

In the meantime, I will try to upload some chapters of Sweet Liberty more often for anybody who wants to read them. Today, it’s Chapters 10 & 11. Enjoy.

Sweet Liberty, Chapter 7

Now that I’ve gotten my contemporary novel online for free download, I’m adding a new chapter (Chapter 7, previous chapters can be read here on my blog) of my historical romance entitled Sweet Liberty.

Editing is such a slow process when one works on ghostwriting, DAR genealogy and applications, and my  own genealogy, as well, but I keep plugging away. Maybe I’ll be able to post the complete book later this year. That’s my hope, anyway.

In the meantime, please enjoy Chapter 7 of Sweet Liberty.

Still Working Hard

I’m still working hard to get my contemporary romance, A Baby for New Year’s, to download, but so far, I haven’t had any luck. I wish I could report that I’ve done it. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen.

I am, however, getting closer to success. At least, I can run it through the purchase process. It’s still free, but that’s the process we need to follow to download the book.

I definitely like progress. Maybe the next time it will work. That will have to be tomorrow, though, because today I must work on a ghostwriting project.

Hopefully, soon I’ll have it online.

Rachel Randle didn’t move to Vermont to do anything other than get away from her over-protective family in Texas. Then she meet Gary Holbrook, her boss at a temporary agency job.

The handsome, courteous, witty man forces her to bury her feelings. His daughter Abby, though, steals Rachel’s heart. The infant’s mother died as the result of a car accident, so Gary is raising her alone.

With Christmas upon them, Gary invites Rachel to join Abby and himself for the day. The emotions Rachel has been avoiding burst forth that day, though, and she decides she should pull away from him outside of business.

But can she keep her resolve? Or will Abby and Gary convince her that she needs more in her life that just a job?

Sweet Liberty, Chapter 6

Brown Canyon
Sierra Vista, AZ

As I’m putting out Chapter 6 of my historical romance entitled Sweet Liberty, I can’t believe that it’s already the 14th of January. Two Thousand Seventeen is already moving fast.

With ghostwriting and beginning-of-the-year chores (like balancing checkbooks that I’m far too behind on) to do around the house, I’m a bit surprised that I was able to work this in.

I hope you enjoy the next Chapter 6 of Sweet Liberty. I’m still hoping that I can get my contemporary romance online by the end of February, but paid work comes first. I just can’t guarantee it.

Sweet Liberty, Chapter 5, a Historical Romance

I’ve attached Chapter 5 of my historical romance entitled Sweet Liberty. I had high hopes of getting a free contemporary romance posted online, but the holidays turned out to be more hectic than I had anticipated.

I am, however, still at work on editing and preparing on A Baby for New Year’s.for publication on this site. Hopefully, it will be available before the end of February, 2016.

In the meantime, please enjoy the next chapter of Sweet Liberty. Continue reading
